Curious

SLAB welcomes readers from Japan, who have arrived here via this posting on Japanese car website Carview. It looks a bit like a Toyota Auris fan-site. I ran the posting’s headline through Google’s Japanese translation tool, and this came out:

The german o lith poster you are lazy, “infectious disease of the city! Escape to the hill” the article which writes the German thing

The ‘o lith’ bit seems to be an attempted translation of ‘Auris’ which is probably written phonetically in Japanese, but whether this is a critique of the German marketing campaign remains unclear.

I’m sorry that you just got poor translation.
It’s just means ‘”Urban Epidemic! Run For The Hills!”:an article about Germany’

I don’t any intention to critque Toyota’s German marketing.
I just hope Toyota Auris’s success in Europe.
