While navigating around the mess created by this behemoth last week, I couldn&#039;t help thinking: &quot;What did this add?&quot; Did we really need yet another Arkaden? Was the next closest MediaMarkt (which, in this case, is across the street, in Alexanderplatz) not close enough? And if we really did, could it not have been done in a more integrated fashion? (I know I&#039;m late to the game...construction began before I even arrived here, but I lived through that construction and the end result....which is inaccessible to cars and pedestrians...seems a failure to me.)</description>
