Curious Caption
Matthias sent me this photo, taken in Berlin’s Neuköln district. I didn’t understand it until he told me to read it as a German would, with no regard for the spelling. What comes out is a weird Anglo-Deutsch hybrid. It says:

Flying back from England last Wednesday with a copy of the Guardian newspaper, I was shocked to read that a piece of the Berlin Wall had been nicked over the Easter Weekend.

In December of last year I commented on the graffiti-patch phenomenon, where tags on a building were ‘de-erased’ with a quick roll of grey paint. The word on the SLAB grapevine is that this wasn’t the work of some quick-on-the-draw janitor, but of another graffiti artist.
