As recently reported, the British Council have scarpered from their prestigeous «Hackesche Markt 1» address, and the façade of the building they vacated is currently undergoing a bit of a facelift. No wonder: the Japanese retail outfit Muji is moving in and it wouldn’t surprise me if they replace the bland-box sandstone cladding with something cleaner, lifestylier, more metrosexual. Like gray granite. Sorry, did I write «gray»? I meant «anthracite».
