SLAB Magazine referred to it before and now it happened again. The strangely pink shopping mall at Berlin’s Alexanderplatz «Alexa» is still presented in the media (www.tagespiegel.de 18.04.2008) like this:

Last week SLAB reported on the pending building developments on a plot of land between Choriner Straße and Zehdenicker Straße in Berlin’s Mitte district. The so-called Choriner Höfe are to be built here.

One could accuse us of lazy journalism, but we haven’t needed to travel far to bring SLAB-worthy stories over the last few weeks. Everything’s right on our doorstep at the moment, including the developments currently taking place in our local inner-city jungle situated on a piece of bombed-out land stretching between Chorinerstraße and Zehdenicker Straße.

SLAB’s pole decorating stunt seems to have caused some resonance in the neighborhood: someone has now strung their laundry up between the daft forest of signs, presumably to celebrate the 1st of April. SLAB approves. More please.
